オバマが語った日本の「失われた１０年」 ― 2009/02/11 07:19
記念すべきオバマ大統領の就任後初めての記者会見。
ここでいきなりＪＡＰＡＮが登場。
しかも本ブログで再三取り上げてきた「失われた１０年」と一緒に。

Obama: We saw this happen in Japan in the 1990s, where they did not act boldly and swiftly enough and, as a consequence, they suffered what was called the lost decade, where essentially, for the entire '90s, they did not see any significant economic growth.
我々は大胆かつ迅速な行動をとらなかった１９９０年代の日本で起きたことを見ている。その結果として日本はいわゆる「失われた１０年」に苦しんだ。本質的に、９０年代全体で意義ある経済成長は見られなかった。
オバマから大胆かつ迅速な行動をとらなかったと指摘されたのは、
日本の政治ということになるのでしょう。
サブプライム問題をきっかけにバブルは破裂。
米国の金融システムは一気に崩壊したわけですが、
米国とてバブルとわかっていて放置していた。
はたしてオバマ政権は日本との違いを見せつけることができるのでしょうか。
日本の教訓を学んで、「失われた１０年」を回避することができるのか。
まずはオバマ政権のお手並み拝見といきたいところですが、
『すでに米国は「失われた１０年」に突入している』との見方もあったりする。
日本版「失われた１０年」との大きな違いは、
米国版「失われた１０年」は全世界に波及するということ。
日本も米国版「失われた１０年」に飲み込まれ、
「続・失われた１０年」に突入しかねない。
どう見てもすでに日本は「続・失われた１０年」に突入している。
日本は今度こそ大胆かつ迅速な行動をとっているのでしょうか。
米国は早々に「失われた１０年」から抜け出し、日本はおいてけぼり。
そんな様子が見えてきます。

バブルが弾けて日本が「失われた１０年」に突入したとき、
心なしか海も川も空もきれいになったような。
地球温暖化は怪しいからどうでもいいけど、
そろそろフライ・フィッシングと星空観察を復活させようかなぁ。

０８年度の温室効果ガス減少 経済危機で５０００万トン

昨年秋以降深刻化した経済危機の影響で、２００８年度の日本の温室効果ガス排出量が約５０００万トン（二酸化炭素換算）も減少する可能性があることが環境省の分析で１０日、分かった。京都議定書が基準年としている１９９０年度の排出量の約４％に当たる。
短期間での大幅な排出減は、これまでの予測と大きく異なり、政府が今年６月までに決定する排出削減の中期目標をめぐる議論や、今後の温暖化対策の議論にも影響を与えそうだ。
環境省の現時点での暫定的な分析では、０８年度の第３・四半期に、経済危機の影響で減ったとみられる排出量は、９０年度の排出量の１・４％相当。さらに第４・四半期は、減少幅がこの２倍程度になると予測され、全体では４％前後になるとみられるという。
日本は議定書で、０８－１２年度の平均で、９０年度比６％の排出削減が義務付けられている。だが、０７年度の排出量（速報値）は同８・７％増と過去最大で、排出削減をどう進めるかが大きな課題となっている。

雇用創出といっても一時的。
結局日本と同じ間違いを繰り返すだけじゃないか。

On Thursday (Sept 18), at 11am the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw-down of money market accounts in the U.S., to the tune of $550 billion was being drawn out in the matter of an hour or two. The Treasury opened up its window to help and pumped a $105 billion in the system and quickly realized that they could not stem the tide. We were having an electronic run on the banks. They decided to close the operation, close down the money accounts and announce a guarantee of $250,000 per account so there wouldn’t be further panic out there.
If they had not done that, their estimation is that by 2pm that afternoon, $5.5 trillion would have been drawn out of the money market system of the U.S., would have collapsed the entire economy of the U.S., and within 24 hours the world economy would have collapsed. It would have been the end of our economic system and our political system as we know it.
