いぁ～、それにしても不思議。
オバマのインナー・サークル（側近中の側近）の中に日系人がいることを
日本メディアは取り上げませんね。

今までにちょこっとだけ触れたのは読売新聞のみ。
１１月６日付夕刊で、「移行チームの１５人のメンバーは、オバマ氏の側近とクリントン政権元幹部が中心。共同議長には、クリントン大統領の首席補佐官を務めた政策通のジョン・ポデスタ氏、地元シカゴの友人で女性実業家バレリー・ジャレット氏、それにオバマ氏の側近中の側近である日系人ピート・ローズ氏が任命された。」と書いています。

ピート・ローズの母が日本人であることは、
私がすでに紹介したワシントン・ポスト紙とニューヨーク・タイムズ紙が揃って指摘。
最近の日本メディアは米国を代表する二大紙ですら、チェックしていないのでしょうか。


それではオバマのインナー・サークルの続きを見て行きましょう。

私は「オバマ政権と日本のブリッジはダシェルが鍵を握っている。」と指摘しました。
ダシェルが日米間の橋渡しをするという意味です。

政権移行チームの共同議長３人の内の２人がトム・ダシェル（Tom Daschle）に近い。
ジョン・ポデスタはトム・ダシェルの顧問を務め、
ピート・ローズはトム・ダシェルの元で働いていました。

トム・ダシェルは上院院内総務になるほどの民主党の大物でしたが、
２００４年の上院選で落選します。
現在は法律事務所アルストン＆バードの政策アドバイザーなどを務めながら、
大統領選ではオバマのアドバイザーの中核として活躍しました。
そのため、保健福祉省長官候補として名前があがっていますが、
エネルギー省長官になってくれれば、日本にとって好都合かもしれません。

トム・ダシェルはイラク戦争において反ブッシュの急先鋒になるなど、
オバマ同様にリベラル色が強いというイメージがあります。

この政治的背景から、
このトム・ダシェルが日米間のブリッジになるとはまったく考えていません。

むしろ注目しているのはトム・ダシェルの奥様の方。
これが、「トム・ダシェル」とせずに「ダシェル」とした理由です。

見るからにセレブな奥様の名前は、リンダ・Ｈ・ダシェル（Linda H. Daschle）。

リンダは超大物ロビイストとして名が知られており、
今回の大統領選でも総額８３０００ドル超の献金を行っています。
リンダの献金先には、首席補佐官就任が決まったラーム・エマニュエルの名前もある。
資金面で民主党を支える一人ということです。

政治というのは表と裏があるもの。
リンダの存在がまもなく誕生するオバマ政権の裏側を明らかにします。

リンダのクライアントは次の企業。

ボーイング（Boeing）
クリーブランド・ホプキンス国際空港（Cleveland Hopkins International Airport）
ロッキード・マーティン（Lockheed Martin）

つまり、リンダは超大物の航空・防衛ロビイストということですね。

すでにリンダのことをよく知っている日本企業幹部も多いはずですが、
このブログを見て、これからリンダに接触しようと思うのであれば、
リンダが所属する有力法律事務所に行けばいいのです。

この法律事務所は日本人大歓迎。
日本メディアの取材にも親切丁寧に応じてくれるでしょう。

知日派、親日派で知られたハワード・ベーカー第２６代駐日米国大使のことですからね。

つまり、セレブなリンダはベーカー前駐日米国大使の優秀な部下ということ。

しかも、トム・ダシェルとベーカー前駐日米国大使は、
報道や表現や精神の自由を呼びかけるフリーダム・フォーラムの理事会でご一緒の関係。

ダシェル夫妻を支えるベーカー前駐日米国大使は共和党穏健派の重鎮。
ベーカー前駐日米国大使が民主党と共和党のブリッジになると同時に
日米間の極めて重要なブリッジになるはずです。

最近になって、それを物語るニュースも飛び込んできました。
この橋の上を日米エコエコ原発人脈が行き交うことになるはずです。

Names surface for top Obama administration jobs

President-elect Obama is weighing an array of Washington insiders and outsiders, including some Republicans, for top administration posts, according to Democratic officials.

Obama has signaled that he will make no Cabinet-level appointments immediately, and his deliberations are tightly held by his closest aides. But that hasn't stopped Democrats and interest groups from circulating lists and offering recommendations to the Obama transition team.

Some are surprising, such as former Bush Secretary of State Colin Powell as possible education secretary. Others are high-profile governors or members of Congress. Yet many are also little known to the general public — and may remain so.

Obama has less than 11 weeks to staff his new administration. Some names often mentioned as possible appointees to top posts:

Former Navy Secretary Richard Danzig.
